How we keep the site free
Our tools and guides are free. To pay for them, the site may show advertising and some guides may include affiliate links. An affiliate link means we may earn a small commission if you buy through it, at no extra cost to you.
How affiliate links work
When a guide links to a product such as a DAW, a plugin or a piece of gear, that link may be an affiliate link. If you buy through it, the seller may pay us a commission. You pay the same price either way. The commission comes from the seller, not from you.
Commissions never decide what we write
We recommend products based on what fits the reader, not on what pays us. If the best option earns us nothing, it is still the one we recommend. Read our Editorial Policy for our full standards.
What our guides are based on
We do not independently test every product we write about, and we say so plainly. Our guides are compiled from manufacturer specifications, official documentation and pricing pages, and the other sources we link to in each guide.
Where a price or specification matters, we link to the maker's own page so you can check it. Prices change often, so always check the current listing before buying.
Affiliate programs we use
We are not currently a member of any affiliate program, and no links on the site are affiliate links. If we join a program in the future, we will name it on this page, and guides that contain affiliate links will say so.
Advertising
