This page explains which cookies shlohmo.com uses, why, and how you can control them. It works together with our Privacy Policy.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. They let a site remember things between pages or visits, such as a choice you made.
The cookies we use
| Cookie | Type | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
sh_consent |
Essential | Remembers the choice you made in our cookie banner, so we do not ask again on every page. | 6 months |
WordPress comment cookies (comment_author_*) |
Functional | Only set if you leave a comment and ask the site to remember your name and email for next time. | Up to about one year |
Our free tools do not need cookies. Audio you load into them is processed in your browser and is not uploaded to us.
Analytics and advertising cookies
We may use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, and Google AdSense to show ads. These services can set their own cookies, for example to count visits or to show ads based on your interests.
Our site uses Google Consent Mode. Analytics and advertising storage start as denied for every visitor, and only change if you choose “Accept all” or switch on the matching category under “Customize” in our cookie banner. If you choose “Reject non-essential”, those services are told not to store analytics or advertising cookies.
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this site or other websites. You can learn more in how Google uses information from sites that use its services, and you can turn off personalised ads in Google’s Ad Settings.
How to change your choice
- On this site: after you make a choice, a small cookie settings button stays in the corner of every page. Click it to open the banner again and change what you allow.
- In your browser: every major browser lets you block or delete cookies in its settings. If you block all cookies, the site will still work, but it will not remember your cookie choice.
Changes to this policy
If we add a new service that sets cookies, we will update the table above. Questions? Contact us.
